The Bellevue Communal and Auberge-Restaurant building is located along the cantonal road between Geneva and Lausanne. It is located on the shores of Lake Geneva in a unique environment close to the heart of the village. On the site of the Gitana port, the project constitutes the limit between the city and the lake with its beach and its park. Through its location, the building reveals and enhances the site. Its entrances are positioned laterally. They direct and promote access to the beach and the port. The two programmatic entities are grouped together in a single volume. On the cantonal road, the building stands out for its presence and character. Without directly expressing the functions it houses, it asserts itself as a strong entity. Its facades are made up of the same repeating window module. They give the building a character and a presence that respond to both the institution and the various services it contains. The two large facades face one towards the city and the other towards the lake. The gables accommodate the main entrances. To the south and towards the existing refreshment bar, the entrance to the Auberge-Restaurant. North towards the Town Hall, the entrance to the Communal building. Two courtyards illuminate the heart of the building and bring together all the activities. At the foot of the frontage on the lake, there is a large terrace on the scale of the place.
