Our project offers a calm and peaceful architecture that is rigorously installed in present context. Beyond the need to restructure the classrooms, all the functions are upgraded in order to improve the building's ergonomy and to match the changes in its capacity. The reception area is identified as the new entrance and is in line with the renovation of the Boulevard de La Chauvinière. With its wide forecourt and single-storey construction, this reception gathers all specific features of the architectural style that we would implement for the entire school complex: solid or clerestory facade panels and an exposed wooden structure. The techniques used - timber frame construction, dry construction, prefabricated and rationalised panels - ensure simple, rapid implementation, and are compatible with maintaining school days going during the construction works.
