The site of "La Goutte de Saint Mathieu" is located at the entrance to the village of Bernex, along the freeway ramp to Chancy's road. This former farming parcel, reveals a singular landscape and a strategic position on the scale of the town of Bernex as well as on regional scale. The project's main feature is the expression of simple, compact and easy-to-understand forms that aim at limiting their impact on the site. The volumes are different from one building to another in order to adapt to the morphology of the site and to allow each one to stand out. The composition of the project in several distinct buildings also reveals this singularity. This creates a consistent interface between the agro-urban park and the future housing area. The facades - between concrete posts, concrete floor noses and large window bands - give the buildings a sense of unity and consistency that echoes the symbolic significance of the activities housed on the site (institutions, training centre). Each building stands between a mineral space, as represented by the square, and a vegetal space.
