Our project for the Police Headquarters is designed to express the regal function and the strong symbolic significance of these government services which are essential to the community. It is established in the urban landscape as a place of reception, safety and confidentiality. The building, aligned along Avenue Clémenceau in the continuity of the old gendarmerie building, fits in with finesse in the urban sequence: the large roof overhangs propose a play of horizontal lines in coherence with the topography, the light-coloured concrete evokes the singular materiality of the town of Royan, and the technical and functional features guarantee the safety of flows and the site's general security.
